Samsung Launches W3150, EV-DO Rev.A Phone
Samsung Electronics brings out a cdma2000 1x EV-DO Rev.A phone (SPH-W3150) through LG Telecom. Rev.A is a derivative of CDMA technology, supporting video call and high-speed data communications at maximum 3.1 Mbps speed.
SPH-W3150 is the thinnest (12.9 mm) among the Rev.A phones on the market, according to Samsung. Unlike WCDMA phones, the slim slider Rev.A dispenses with USIM card for video call. Instead, it features the self-camera and the hot key exclusively for video call.
With the metallic finish accentuating the sleekness of the phone, there is a disc wheel key at the mid front of the faade of W3150 which also features terrestrial DMB, a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity, a portable disc and a digital dictionary. Enabled with LG Telecom Bank-On service, the new device will facilitate mobile banking, credit card payment and stock exchange.
